Terry & I Joined at Beeston in May. A big thank you to Wynn for introducing us!

We had a wonderful time & Everybody we talked to thought it was superb. We were made very welcome by all the members of the Society, We never thought we would be invited into the arena and felt very priveleged.

Wynn was excellent as the blacksmith and was very informative, He was able to draw the public to him and would talk forever. People were intrigued by his tales and memorabilia that he had on display.

Conway was excellent with Fight A Knight which brought the public into the Arena and was very hands on, again a great success. I was very impressed with the coin striking and the medieval toys for the younger children.

Chepstow was very hot. We enjoyed the Archery and got into the hang of things not feeling like a spare part anymore. Morgan & Phillip enjoyed helping in the ring with Roger & Shaun. As usual did a wonderful job with Robo, Kat, Paul & all the others having a good fight, I felt very sorry for them as it was sweltering!

Greenwood was a day of just talking and catching up with everyone. The children enjoyed the rides and a good display was enjoyed by all.

Rhuddlan was hot on the Saturday and we felt the archery had gone well, unfortunately we were not able to stay and felt sorry for the group as it rained on the Sunday. We met some interesting people from Canada who thought the whole event was fantastic.

Criccieth was good and well turned out, the local children helped to raise the flag for Hywel y Fwyall. There was a drawing competition in the castle and that went well. I was quite tired when I got to the top and vowed next year I would just send the children up!

Caerphilly was well looked forward too as this was the last get together before christmas and it seemed to go very well, although I felt sorry for Kat & Paul who had a rude awakening when people cam in to get changed. Again the archery was well enjoyed and the boys played the part of Squires for Roger well.

Although we didn't attend all the gatherings we felt that all had enjoyed the dates with the society, the only sadness was to hear that Kevin had passed away, I am sure he will be sadly missed. I am confident that next year will be as good as this as always Shaun was right when it is hard to better when the group is the best.
